There are times when the ASC Ben Fund or indeed any charity is unable to assist officers or retired officers with financial problems alone. We would advise our members who are struggling with debt to seek specialist advice regarding their finances. In particular we urge them not to use popular cash advance services that charge extortionate interest rates, but instead seek assistance through Citizens Advice Bureau, The Police Credit Union or professional Debt advisors.
The Police Service has a more sympathetic and enlightened approach to debt than it once had and we can help point you in the right direction if you get in touch with us (in confidence).
Please read these notes before considering making an application using one of the forms below which will assist the trustees with applications to the fund as it is important that they have up to date information on the financial circumstances of an applicant.Download Guidance

In order that the Benevolent Fund can monitor the welfare of police widows and widowers in the force area an annual review is undertaken each year. Widows and widowers living in the force area are contacted by a local Police Officer/PCSO whilst those living outside the Force are contacted by the Fund Administrator.Download Review Form
